Vaja - Ádám Vay Museum Collection of the Hungarian National Museum
The castle, built at the beginning of the 17th century, was the site of important negotiations during the Rákóczi War of Independence. The prince visited the castle twice, which is also recorded on memorial plaques. Another notable attraction of the castle is the ceiling fresco in the upstairs hall, designed by Ferenc Lohr, the event of the battle of Nicapolis in 1396, when a member of the Vay family helped King Zsigmond escape.
